Day 66 - 7th March 2010

Sunday is the day of rest, and rest is what I did. The day was spent enjoying the sunshine on the balcony, reading, and walking in the woods behind our flat. In the early evening I went to the cinema to see kawasakiho růže (Kawasaki's rose).I'm sure I missed many of the cultural references in the film, but thoroughly enjoyed it none the less and hope that it's released in the rest of Europe soon. After the film it was time for feeding and watering, and that is where the picture for the day comes in. Menus are a tricky thing to translate from one language to another, and despite most of the Czech restaurants doing a grand job, the occasional translation slips through that puts a smile on your (well my) face. This was the case with the last dish on the menu. Just in case it's too blurry to see properly, the dish offered is robust cheese balls broiled in fat. Sounds yummy.

  1. These people are on crack. I noticed the other items:

Adam's rib and Eva's sauce taken out of chim[nez?]
Chicken pinions kept on quiet coal
Svejk's knee taken out of chimnez.

I have the feeling that they used Google Translate and a QWERTZ keyboard, and assumed it would be perfect.

    Or they're messing with you.
