Day 73 - 14th March 2010

A new day and a complete change of scene. After a relatively quick and easy journey (well, despite the road leading to the hotel which was a complete sheet of ice and really nearly did kill our car) we arrived in the town of Karlov pod Pradědem in Jeseníky where we'd be spending a couple of days. Despite only being 500 meters above sea level there was snow everywhere and the skiing conditions seemed excellent. Pictured above is the hotel where we were staying. What struck me was the plethora of flags (OK, well 7) swaying from the front of the hotel in the bitterly cold wind. It made the otherwise socialist realist hotel look quite grand, but where was the Union Jack?????
