It was supposed to be a quiet Friday night, with nothing more exciting on the cards than a 60 minute English lesson with my oldest (in terms of length of time I've known him) student. At 3am my observation from the evening was as follows: English mixed with a little beer and a splash of rum makes for much fun, certainly facilitates fluency and perhaps even aids language acquisition a teeny tiny bit :-)
