This is the view of my parents' garden that greeted me when I woke up this morning. Having survived 4 Czech winters thus far, the sight of snow is nothing new. However, it seems that one or two snow flakes in London makes the city grind to a halt. My sister has been waiting at the station for 2.5 hours. She can see a train frozen to the tracks 50 meters down the platform. It's not moving. It's now 9.38am. "Nik, as soon as the delayed 6.20am comes, then I' m sure my train will, and I'll get to the office" she assures me. Thank goodness it doesn't snow that often here.
